Vicious cycle of hype has started…

Weblogs, once the landfill of the brains of those with better things to do, have become the voice of a new generation.

And with that, everything the detractors have been bitching about is coming true; the writing, design and overall quality of weblogs has dropped since a year ago.

The beautiful thing about this is that it’s a natural reaction to the influx of people with no design or writing skills owning this ‘new’ technology. And the wonderful thing about that is now that ordinary people are mimicking the crap of the talented, the uselessness of weblogs is becoming even more apparent.

What does this mean in the long run? Those that started the trend will continue to use weblogs as cesspools of the web. Those that came later will continue their rubbish until it becomes too much of a pain in the ass and give up. Finally, if the business community believes the media hype, weblogs will become sanitised, corporatised, and so passe that the next generation of twelve-year-old Internet symbiots will turn up their nose at the thought of starting one. Then maybe we can get some peace.
